Abonos™
A WOOD OVER A THOUSAND YEARS OLD, WITH UNIQUE FEATURES AND EXTREMELY INNOVATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL VALUE
Abonos™ is a wood of river origin characterised by particular sediments that make each trunk unique thanks to fossilisation of water over thousands of years. Under the guidance of the owner Federico Basso, Segheria 3B deals with the selection and recovery of Abonos™ logs. Abonos™ woods are extracted manually from the sand and gravel of the river beds that have buried and preserved the Abonos™ trunks for over 6,000 years. The oldest Abonos™ trunks are over 8,000 years old and are characterised by very dark colour shades.

THE MOST RELEVANT DETAIL OF ABONOS ™ LOGS™ IS THEIR NATURAL UNIQUENESS
The most relevant distinctive trait of Abonos™ trunks is the natural uniqueness of each trunk in terms of colour intensity, design and shades, making each piece different from the others. The chemical transformations undergone by the wood over the millennia have not influenced the structural characteristics, which are improved in terms of hardness and strength. It was these characteristics that prompted Federico Basso, owner of Segheria 3B, to focus on Abonos™ wood as a raw material of excellence for the creation of unique design pieces in the fashion and furniture sector.

Specialised in sustainable wood processing, Segheria 3B has been managing the inspection, sampling and extraction of Abonos™ logs for over five years. The logs are subsequently processed and finished in a skilful and artisanal way in order to be used for the creation of unique pieces of furniture, fashion and design. Indeed, Abonos™ has been used by some of the most prestigious companies in the furniture and fashion sector who, with the support of Carlo Tuzzi, have created real works of art with a unique and inimitable value.
